Pupil Premium

What is the ‘Pupil Premium’?

The government provides additional funding (Pupil Premium) to schools to help them address the needs of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. Schools are expected to do everything they can to narrow the achievement gap between advantaged and disadvantaged groups. In addition to the Pupil Premium funding this year from April 2014 schools received funding for Adopted children and those subject to Special Guardianship orders (SGO) and Residence Orders (RO).
