Events

We love hosting and supporting special events during at Aldrington. Have a look at what we've been up to recently.

Remembrance day,
11th November 2016

Our whole school community gathered together at 11am on the school playground to remember and honour those who have served our nation.

Take a look at the video below to see how well Frankie & Reuben in Year 6 played the Last Post on their cornet and trumpet.

World Book Day 2016

We enjoyed reading with our friends and family, as well as with our buddies around the school.

The Queen's Birthday Tea Party June 2016

We had a wonderful afternoon tea party in the sunshine to celebrate the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty. We made the shape of a giant crown in her honour!

Children's Parade 2016

Y3 and YR Penguins and Pandas were amazing clouds and starlings hovering above our i360 in this year's Children's Parade. It was a beautiful, sunny day full of laughter.

JUNIOR  LANGUAGE CHALLENGE  FINALS  14th October 2016

Congratulations to Joanne George, in Y4, who successfully competed in the language challenge. Having learnt Korean for the semi-finals, she got into the finals, where she had to learn Swahili.

Up against Y6 pupils, Joanne got into the final section of the finals, coming 12th. Well done Joanne, you are amazing. We are in awe of you.

RE Theme Week            June 2017

Y4 have joined the Cameo Club for a games session - we had lots of fun getting to know each other: sharing laughter, sharing memories and learning to play new games.

OUR  ALDRINGTON TEAM  WON!!!!!

Well done to our champions. You did us all proud! Excellent competitors & a fun afternoon had by all at Brighton College.

Start a Heart CPR training

Years 4, 5 and 6 had 2 days training from paramedic trainers so that they know how to help someone in need. They practised putting each other in recovery positions and then the harder task of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It was strenuous work but highly rewarding. They are so proud, as are we, that they now know how to help someone in an emergency situation. Thank you to our hard working governors who organised the free event for us.
