Parents of Aldrington

The ‘Parents of Aldrington’ is the Committee made up of both parents and teachers and we organise fundraising events each term to raise money to buy additional equipment for the children of the school.  We meet twice a term to plan exciting events that the children and parents can enjoy. It’s great fun to be involved, and the events raise over £5,000 each year.

 

We especially welcome new parents to the school to join us and share their thoughts and ideas.  We are grateful to anyone who can bake cakes, have face painting skills, or enjoy running the stalls at the fayres.  Many hands make light work!

 

We have had some very successful events in recent times ie school disco for the children, school disco for the adults, sponsored bounce, cake sales, crazy hair and non-uniform day, parents annual quiz night to name but a few!  The money raised has gone towards buying a playhouse for Key Stage 1, purchase and installation of staging for the playground, bikes and scooters for Reception class and the PA system for the school hall.  Our fundraising greatly enhances the children’s fun and education at Aldrington School .
